SUMMARY:BUP PhD Students Training 2025
DESCRIPTION:The event will be held in connection with the BUP Symposium, an
 d it will take place on-site in Uppsala, Sweden, between 24-28 November 202
 5.\n\nThe application deadline is 30 May 2025, 23:59 (CEST).\n\nIt is hoste
 d and organised by the BUP Coordinating Secretariat in Uppsala, in collabor
 ation with Adam Mickiewicz University and Lodz University of Technology.\n\
 nThis training aims to provide knowledge, skills and network opportunities 
 to PhD students focusing on security and resilience in the Baltic Sea Regio
 n. We will welcome a total of 30 PhD students from BUP participating univer
 sities.\n\nDuring the training days at Uppsala University, the PhD students
  will give and receive feedback on their own work, as well as input from se
 nior experts in their field.\n\nThe training will also include sessions of 
 scientific presentations and parallel workshops.\n\nThree available worksho
 ps:\n\n 	 ‘Sharing and Reflecting on Sustainable Futures’ with Dr. Oleksand
 ra Khalaim (Uppsala University), Liisi Pajula (University of Tartu), and Pr
 of. Tatjana Tambovceva (Riga Technical University),  	 ‘Calculating the car
 bon footprint’ with Dr. Aleksandra Ziemińska-Stolarska (Lodz University of 
 Technology), 	 ‘Planetary Plate Puzzle: A serious game for deliberating suf
 ficient future diets’ with Dr. Rachel Mazac (Stockholm Resilience Centre, S
 tockholm University). \n\nAt the BUP Symposium, there will be five parallel
  sessions to choose from, and PhD participants are welcome to hold poster p
 resentations.\n\nThere is no participation fee for the training, and the BU
 P will provide all meals. However, the students are expected to cover their
  travel and accommodation. To cover the expenses, the PhD candidates can ap
 ply for Erasmus+ grants. Ukrainian students who can't travel will have the 
 possibility to join some parts of the PhD Students Training online through
