Competition for internships 2025 - II edition

The Director of the AGH Doctoral School announces the second edition of the competition to award funds for internship trips to foreign research centers for doctoral students studying at the AGH Doctoral School in 2025.

The competition is announced within the framework of the implementation of the program "STER NAWA - internationalization of doctoral schools" funded by the National Agency for Academic Exchange and, in particular, activities related to support of foreign mobility of the best doctoral students for 1-3 months, pursuing their education at the AGH Doctoral School.

The awarded funds may be used to cover the costs of:

  1. accommodation and meals, related to the participation of doctoral students in foreign internship trips, up to PLN 12,000/month; 
  2. travel, related to the participation of doctoral students in foreign internship trips, up to PLN 5,000/internship; 
  3. management, related to participation of doctoral students in foreign internship trips, PLN 5,000/trainee.

Pool of funds available under the second edition on the competition in 2025: PLN 91,000.00.

The rules and procedure for awarding funds for internship trips within the Project, as well as the criteria for evaluating the scientific achievements of candidates are indicated in par. 3 and 4 of the Regulations for granting and disbursing funds for internship trips in foreign scientific centers for doctoral students of the AGH Doctoral School within the STER NAWA project - internationalization of doctoral schools, funded by the National Agency for Academic Exchange.

Applications should be submitted in original to the AGH Doctoral School office (building A3, room 118) until April 8, 2025 at 1pm.

The application should be accompanied by:

  1. an internship program confirmed by the inviting institution, including the declared involvement of the intern in the work carried out at the inviting institution, e.g., participation in a project, preparation of a project proposal, preparation of publications for JCR-listed journals, etc..;
  2. justification of the connection between the internship and the execution of the dissertation and confirmation of this fact by the promoter(s);
  3. previous scientific and research achievements of the doctoral student from the period of training at the AGH Doctoral School.

Deadline for adjudication of the competition is April 14, 2025.

The results of the competition will be announced on the AGH Doctoral School website.
